A single consumer services business with 10+ years of operating history. Systems in scope: Accounting. Roughly 10k-100k work pieces, very well documented.
Why it matters: Front-line operations: bookings, customer messages, inventory and staff coordination.
Emerging corpus: the owner is still assembling history and documentation, so scope can be shaped to a buyer's spec.
Excluded: owner and client identities, contact details and all PII. Names are replaced with consistent pseudonyms in the Clean Room before any sample is released. A sample is released under NDA once it has passed Clean Room review.
Readiness
- ✓EarlyListed from the owner's intake. Automated checks done; the owner hasn't committed the data yet. Register interest and data.cool comes back with terms.
- ✓VettedAutomated checks found a real business behind it: its domain and website, or an active registry entity. No hard stop.
- ○Owner committedThe owner authorized the sale, checked by data.cool, and declared which data they can license.
- ○Data measuredVolumes and date ranges measured by data.cool, read-only from the owner's systems or from the data package they handed over.
- ○Sample reviewedA de-identified sample passed review and is available under NDA.
- ○Delivery-readyThe signed data package is held by data.cool: scrubbed, re-scanned, signed by the owner and data.cool. Delivery runs from this exact version. The vault is in pilot on select deals.
- ○Full exportThe full export is delivered after an accepted offer, against escrow, then checked by the buyer in the acceptance window.
Every rung is checked by data.cool, never claimed by the lister. A rung only counts when the ones above it are met.

Free, no NDA. Declarations are owner and broker warranties, not data.cool checks; a false one is a breach paid from the holdback. Every license sold is on the public license ledger.

Accepted or refunded
Every deal, written into the Buyer Terms
01
Check it
The full export arrives against a fingerprinted manifest. You have the acceptance window in your license: 10 business days if none is stated.
02
Reject in writing
For any material mismatch with the deal sheet or manifest. Data sold elsewhere when the sheet said it wasn't counts.
03
The owner cures
15 business days to fix the mismatch.
04
Or you're refunded
The 10% holdback, plus the rest of the price if the mismatch is fundamental. The license ends and you delete the data.
If the Clean Room sample doesn't match the sheet, reject it and your 10% deposit is refunded in full. Changing your mind after the license is signed isn't a mismatch: the deposit goes to the owner for taking the data off the market.
