How it works
Three sides, one rule. Nothing moves without the owner.
Owners have the data, brokers bring them in and buyers license it. data.cool sits in the middle: it checks every claim, cleans every sample and holds the money until delivery is accepted.
01
Business owner
Owns years of email, tickets, CRM and books. Confirms the listing, the broker and the commission from a private link.
GetsProceeds at close
02
Broker
Is engaged by the owner, lists the business and declares the agreement and any prior sales.
GetsCommission, broker of record
03
rl.data.cool
Sources businesses directly, verifies every claim, de-identifies in the Clean Room, scans for relisted data, runs escrow and delivery.
GetsExchange and buyer fees
04
Buyer
An AI lab, environment builder or enterprise AI team. Reads deal sheets, samples under NDA, bids, accepts the export against the manifest.
GetsA licensed, owner-confirmed corpus
Readiness
Every deal shows how far along it is.
Deals reach the exchange at different stages, and that's normal. Each one carries a readiness rung, so a buyer always knows what's been checked and what's still to come. No sample is released and no bid is accepted until the owner has committed.
data.cool's own intake
Starts at Lead
Listed early on purpose: a buyer asking about a lead is often what brings the owner to the table. It moves up as the owner commits and the data is measured and sampled.
A broker's listing
Starts at Owner committed
Stays a private draft until the owner confirms from the company domain, so it never appears as a lead. From there it climbs the same rungs.
The rungs
Lead → Vetted → Owner committed → Data measured → Sample reviewed
