Brokers
Bring the businesses. Keep the deal.
AI labs buy real operating history: email, documents, tickets, call recordings. You find the businesses; the exchange vets, anonymizes, runs the Clean Room and sells the license. You stay broker of record and get paid from escrow. 49 of 50 founding spots left.
- Broker of record
- The first broker to list a business is broker of record. The claim is provisional until the owner confirms from an email on the company domain, and lapses 60 days after listing if they don't. Once the owner confirms, it's binding for 24 months from that date.
- Owner-approved commission
- Your commission (up to 25% of gross) is agreed with the owner and only counts once the owner approves it. It's paid from escrow at close, before the owner payout. data.cool never takes a cut of it.
- Founding brokers
- First 50 accounts. Your owners keep more on your first 3 deals: they pay a 6% exchange fee instead of 12%. Plus a Founding broker badge on your listings.
- Referral override
- Bring in another broker and earn 10% of the exchange fee on their closed deals for 12 months.
- Fees
- Listing is free for everyone: owners and brokers. 12% exchange fee, paid by the owner from proceeds at close. 4% buyer fee on top of the winning bid, paid at close. Clean Room fee: quoted per deal, from proceeds.
- Bond
- Refundable $250 bond. It lifts your unconfirmed-listing limit from 5 to 25. Refunded when you close your account in good standing, at least 90 days after paying; forfeited on breach of the Broker Terms.
- Broker Pro
- Broker Pro, $49/month: up to 100 unconfirmed listings, priority desk review and instant demand alerts. Requires the bond. Cancel any time.
- Payouts
- Commission, referral overrides and bonuses are paid to your bank through Stripe Connect. Stripe verifies your identity and collects your tax details.
- Limits
- Up to 5 unconfirmed listings at once, 25 with the bond, 100 on Broker Pro. Keeps claims honest: squatting a domain blocks a broker who has the owner.
- Agent-native
- Self-serve API key. Your agent vets, packages and lists over REST or MCP with the rl-broker skill.
How we protect your deals
- Encrypted identity. Business names, domains, owner and lab contacts, verification evidence and OAuth tokens are encrypted field by field with AES-256-GCM before they reach the database. Keys are held outside it.
- Nothing identifying in public. Deal sheets, the API and agent tools show coarse facts only: vertical, region, size bands, volume ranges, week listed. Never a name, domain or owner.
- Every reveal is logged. When someone at data.cool decrypts identity, it's recorded with their name, reason and time. Labs only ever see Clean Room samples.
- De-identified samples. Clean Room replaces names, emails, phones and other personal data with per-deal pseudonyms, and each lab's copy carries its own watermark so a leak traces back.
- The owner chooses disclosure. Blind deal: the buyer never learns who the owner is. Disclosed to counsel: identity goes only to the buyer's outside counsel, after the owner approves, through an expiring, logged link.
- Purged when it ends. Identity on rejected, withdrawn or lapsed listings is purged 90 days after they end.
Your part. Owner data, samples and owner identity move only through the exchange, never by email or file share. Keep your sign-in email and API keys protected, never reveal a Blind deal owner to a buyer, and report a suspected incident within 24 hours. See Broker Terms, Data security.
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong we'll tell affected owners and brokers promptly.

Zero tolerance.
List only businesses whose owners know and agree. No squatting, fake listings, scraped data, spam or going around the exchange. Break the rules and we close your account, remove your listings, void your broker of record status and keep unpaid commissions. No warnings.

Use rl.data.cool with your agent
Source with your agent, list from the terminal.
Everything on this page works over MCP and REST with a broker:list key. Your agent reads demand, vets leads, submits listings and tracks owner confirmations. Same rules as the website.
1 · Get a key and check it
Generate a key on your broker dashboard (API key section). It's shown once.
export RL_API_KEY=rl_brk_... # from your broker dashboard
curl -s https://rl.data.cool/api/v1/whoami -H "Authorization: Bearer $RL_API_KEY"
# {"owner":"You","scopes":["broker:list"],"kind":"broker","terms_accepted":true,...}2 · Connect MCP
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http rl https://rl.data.cool/api/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer $RL_API_KEY"

Other clients
// Any client with streamable HTTP: URL + Authorization header

}3 · Install the rl-broker skill
One file. Teaches your agent the listing workflow and rules. Other agents: save it wherever your agent loads skills, or paste the URL into the chat.

| list_buy_orders | What labs are asking for right now | public |
| submit_listing | Submit a business: runs free vetting, claims broker of record, emails the owner | broker:list |

Try asking
- Read leads.csv, pre-vet each domain, skip anything under 10 staff, submit the rest as listings with the owner emails in the file, and give me a table of IDs and trust scores.
- What's undersupplied and hot this week? Which of my leads match?
- Check status of my listings. Which owners haven't confirmed, and when do those claims expire?
- Match my leads against open buy orders and rank them by demand. Don't submit anything yet.
- For LST-XXXXXXXXXX, tell me whether the owner approved my commission and whether I'm broker of record.

Rules your agent must follow
- The owner must confirm from an email on the company domain. Pass owner_email; until they confirm, your claim is provisional and lapses 60 days after listing.
- Max 5 unconfirmed listings at once, 25 with the $250 bond, 100 on Broker Pro. Extra submissions are rejected.
- Commission is 0-25% of gross and only counts once the owner approves it.
- Never list a business without the owner's knowledge. Keys belong to one broker; don't share them.
- Everything is under the Broker Terms. If they change, submissions are rejected until you re-accept on the dashboard.
