License ledger
Every license, on the record.
Each license the exchange grants is written here when an offer is accepted, and every later change (closed, voided, exclusivity ended, data delivered with its Merkle root) is a new entry. Nothing is edited or deleted. Each entry carries the hash of the one before it, so changing any entry after the fact would break every hash after it. Buyers get their entry's hash by email.

What it guarantees
- A deal is never licensed past its slots. Once an exclusive is in force, nothing else is sold.
- Exclusivity is only granted while no other license is in force.
- The exchange refuses to accept an offer that would break either rule.
- No buyer is named. Each entry carries a keyed reference only the data.cool team can match to an offer.
- Entries on private pilot deals show as pilot entries: their place and hash stay in the chain, the deal doesn't.
Verify it yourself
hash = sha256 hex of "seq|license_id|deal_id|event|license|slot|ref|reason|at|prev_hash" (empty string for a null slot or reason), followed by "|term=N" when the entry has an exclusive term of N months, then "|root=R" when it records a delivery's Merkle root R. The first entry's prev_hash is 64 zeros; each later prev_hash is the hash before it.
